Just a quick note of welcome to those of you who are signing up from MagicalHolidayHome! And, a HUGE apology! I forgot that I had the membership set to moderated. Now that I've approved everyone, you should receive an email with your login information and will be able to comment. I'll stay on top of that alittle better. I promise! I'm also a bit behind on Weekly Challenge content, so we will kick it into gear! Are you ready?! Week 1: Household Notebook ChallengeSubmitted by Lisa on Mon, 01/07/2008 - 14:43.
As is the case with many challenges, and most best intentions, life happens! I had intended to jump start this Household Notebook (HN) Challenge today - ready to go first thing in the morning with some pre-written content. But life happened, and we had wee-ones for company over the weekend, so things are getting off to a slower start - and that's OK! The idea of organizing for planning and reference is supposed to make things easier - not add pressure to an already hectic lifestyle. Remember that as we start moving along! Feel free to share your goals and comments! A New Year's Challenge - The Household NotebookSubmitted by Lisa on Wed, 01/02/2008 - 14:41.
The question has come up - will there be a new Household Notebook (HN) Challenge this New Year's? It's timely enough. Our family needs have changed, so the format of my own HN needs to be revisited. Ah, 'tis the season! All the kids are headed back to school.
Taking a departure from the classic 3-ring notebook, Mead has updated their Five Star® Class2Class binder. A bold graphic design in blue, pink, red, or black on a soft grey background is hip enough for the most discriminating teen, and conservative enough for the conference room. With a 6 pocket expanding file and a 3 subject notebook, the possibilities are endless. Imagine this little gem organizing a bill paying system or a decorating project. What about a scaled-down tickler? With pockets for each month's weeks and one for next month, you'd have one left over for an ad-hoc inbox! If you've downsized your planner to spiral notebooks, this product will give you room to sort and hold papers that you need on the run. At an MSRP of $11.99, it's definitely a must have! Real Content!Submitted by law on Mon, 04/16/2007 - 21:25.
Since the "placeholder" slipped so far down the home page, I want to point out that we are starting to create some "real" content! Check out the Supplies Chapter of the Getting Started book! Back to NBH work. I've been learning everything I can through the upgrades and migrations as OH, SO, and OS are moved to their new server homes. There is a storyboard/mock-up of the direction NBH's will take in the Gallery. LINK Forward Momentum StalledSubmitted by law on Mon, 04/09/2007 - 14:44.
I have been trying to do too many things at once. Drupal is proving to be a fundamental mindset change - on top of the technical challenge. Theming Notes (Sat)Submitted by law on Sat, 04/07/2007 - 21:44.
NotebookHacks is using a fluid theme based upon changes to the CleanSlate theme in Box Grey. Still mastering this concept. With very small changes. |
