Hi, Lisa.

Thanks for your kind words.

I created the Site Notes module because the book method really was not a viable option for the site it was created for, nor one that I was thinking about at the time. But I am using a similar technique on another site that does have multiple admins and I want to leave information for when I move on.

"... may see a few http referers from pages that you will be unable to access..."
"...I provided a source link to the cookbook on both the Drupal site and you own..."

Actually I don't mind your reusing my stuff; I made it public. Depending on how often your links hit my site, it might be better to copy the content so my bandwidth usage doesn't get to be a problem. I've already had to increase my limit twice because the Cookbook is much more popular than I ever envisioned.

Hi Nancy!

First, I wanted to thank you for taking the time to document your experiences with Drupal. I have some experience with PHPNuke and Wordpress, and am developing a new Drupal site - your walk-through has been a great help in getting the initial setup configured.

But I wanted to let you know that you may see a few http referers from pages that you will be unable to access, and I wanted to explain.

I am one of the site administrators for www.organizedhome.com (OH). OH is owned and operated by Cynthia Townley Ewer. She is my mentor. Oh is the flagship for a set of "sister sites" - OrganizedChristmas, OrganizedScrapbooks, and She'sOrganized, among others.

Two other women, Becca and Carrie are also administrators.

At OH, I am known as the Household Notebook Queen. Cynthia has encouraged me to strike out on me own with www.notebookhacks.com (NBH). I have a vague, but fluid, plan. Bec & Carrie are beginning to work on their plans for their own sites as well.

NBH is up and running in Drupal. With your help, it was configured in less than 30 minutes. :-) Because I am still new, I am just starting to play with the content capabilities.

One thing that made sense to me, was to create a book that documented my process. It even "fits" well with the vision I have for the site. Anyway, it will help me as I try to create additional sites, and as I help Bec and Carrie move forward with theirs.

In fact, I was inspired to do this by reading your notes on Site Notes.

Anyway. I installed and configured the Taxonomy Access Control module so that only Cynthia, Bec, and Carrie have access to the book so that I can freely (and securely) discuss the backend configuration.

The four of us are extremely conscientious about DRM and copyrights. In the first level child, I created a Drupal Configuration section, where I am outlining the settings I have made. I am NOT reusing your work - I provided a source link to the cookbook on both the Drupal site and your own, and I am merely talking to the configuration settings as they apply to what I am doing.

NBH is not ready for prime time. As such, I am not permitting
registrations. However, if you would like to verify that I am not improperly using your content, I would be happy to create an account for you and grant access to the applicable pages.

By the time the site is ready for the public, I will have figured out how I want to create a links page. Your cookbook will be prominent among them ;-) I am just not at that point in my site development at the moment.

Again, I want to thank you for the help I have garnered from your experience.

Lisa
